    Taxi Squad is a text-message substitute-player service for adult hockey leagues, operated by 805 Maverick. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it.

    Information we collect

    • Your name, mobile number, and team.
    • Division, game date/time, and rink for sub requests.
    • Your attestation that you hold a current USA Hockey membership. We do not store membership numbers.
    • The contents of the text messages you send and receive.
    • SMS consent and the timestamp recording when you agreed.

    How we use your information

    To match substitute players with teams, to text you about available games or approved subs, and to confirm USA Hockey eligibility. We do not sell your information.

    SMS text messaging

    By checking the consent box on the request or join form, you agree to receive SMS text messages from Taxi Squad / 805 Maverick about substitute-player requests. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We store your consent and the timestamp as proof of opt-in.

    No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

    Cookies and tracking

    We use only the cookies and similar technologies necessary to operate this website and keep it secure. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share browsing data with advertisers or data brokers. Your browser settings can block or delete cookies, though some parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.

    How we protect your information

    Your information is stored in an access-controlled database and transmitted over encrypted connections. Access is limited to the people who operate Taxi Squad. We collect only what the service needs to match substitute players with teams, and we do not store payment information or USA Hockey membership numbers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and to limit who can reach it.

    Data retention

    We keep your contact and consent records for as long as you're active in the program and afterward as needed for record-keeping.
